Is it necessary to configure every single user on the Continuity Email service?
No - there are a number of configuration options to choose from, as follows:
Majority of users on Continuity (most common option)
Most deployments of the Continuity Email Service will configure the majority of their users with a Continuity Mailbox. When configuring the domain for Continuity Email Service, the administrator will specify a Bounce Message Recipient. This address will receive any bounce messages sent by the Continuity System as a result of a missing mailbox, alias or distribution list, thereby giving the Administrator the opportunity to create the missing address or simply ignore the bounce. It is also possible for Administrators to configure a catch all email address into which any unrecognised emails will be placed.
Minority of users on Continuity
In this scenario, In-Tuition must manually configure the domain for Continuity Email Service and only those specific users who require a Continuity Mailbox will be provisioned. Support for this deployment scenario may be added to the control panel in future.
