Partner Classifications and Programme Levels
Partners are classified as either Value Added Resellers (VARs) and/or Hosting Service Providers (HSPs):
Value Added Resellers
VARs sell and support installations of Zimbra Collaboration Suite (ZCS) at their customers’ premises. VARs purchase Annual or Perpetual ZCS Licences at discounted prices from In-Tuition for resale to their customers.
Hosting Service Providers
HSPs provide SaaS hosted Zimbra mailboxes in their own data centres. As well as Standard and Professional Mailbox types, HSPs may also sell ISP specific versions of Zimbra which cater for consumers and small business. HSPs report usage on a monthly basis and pay In-Tuition based on the number of seats (mailboxes) deployed.
Programme Levels
The Reseller Programme offers three levels of participation:
Gold partners have demonstrated a high level of competence in all aspects of Zimbra and are able to sell and support the Zimbra product range. At least one support staff member would be certified via the Zimbra Admin Training course, whilst another would be certified via the Advanced Sales and Tech Modules. In recognition of these commitments, Gold partners enjoy the most benefits under this programme.
Silver
Silver partners have demonstrated competence in selling Zimbra by certifying at least one sales person in basic sales and are recommended to have a support function for end customers.
Bronze
Bronze partners are typically resellers of In-Tuition’ White Label Hosted Zimbra solution and may support a number of smaller clients with Zimbra On-Site installations.
